I'm not in San Francisco, but I would think that any Salvation Army or Red Cross location would love to have them. Also, any shelter for the homeless. Check your local phone directory.I have loads of small size shampoos and lotions from my travels. Where in San Francisco can I donate them?
Fresh Start in Walnut Creek can use them. They help homeless people with a number of things, including showers, clean clothes, etc.I have loads of small size shampoos and lotions from my travels. Where in San Francisco can I donate them?
Take them to a Women's and Children's Shelter. Ask your local police department for a shelter.
any airline security checkpoint... haha
I dontate to these:
Family Resouce Centers
Shelters, missions
Women Shelters and Centers
Many of these welcome the small toiletries. Each time a new person comes in they need fresh supplies. They give them what they need for the day or week.
Look in your directory and call first. Most accept ongoing.
I would take them to any of the shelters. Also, check with local churches to see if any of them are planning any mission trips soon.
Any battered women's shelter, homeless shelter or food pantry would love to have them. I've also taken a boat-load of sample-sized products to the local HeadStart (government, low-income pre-school) center to donate for the families using the HeadStart program.
Maybe at a Homeless Shelter.
Any drug and Alcohol residential treatment facility. These people come straight off the street or from jail and live in Programs and they come with next to nothing. They would be very greatful to receive such products since they have no money and cant leave the programs. Most programs supply things while others do not.

Are we allowed to bring lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, cologne, perfume and other liquid when traveling abroad?
I plan to travel to China and South Korea and I just wonder if there are restrictions about bringing liquid abroad. Please help! ThanksAre we allowed to bring lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, cologne, perfume and other liquid when traveling abroad?
on all the airlines i have been on its been 100 ml bottles or less only, i have bought as big as 200 ml without questions though. just display them in a clear zip lock bag, oh and you can also take whatever you want in your check in luggage. the problem is the hold is not well pressurized so bottles may pop open so put each bottle in its own ziplock in your check in luggage (they can be any size)Are we allowed to bring lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, cologne, perfume and other liquid when traveling abroad?
If you are referring to airplane travel, all liquids must be 3 oz or less. This includes shampoo, toothpaste, lotion, cologne, and any other liquids. The only exceptions are baby formula. Then, of course, you must have a baby with you. For any other airline restrictions, just type in ';TSA'; and it will give you a complete run down on what not to bring.
In your carry-on, yu can have one 1 qt. size zip lock bag and put as many 3 oz bottles of liquids in it as will fit. in your checked luggage you can have any size liquis you want...but they will be heavy. Why not just buy them when you get there...I am sure they are avail.

Can i put shampoo, lotion and hair conditioner in ';sandwhich bags'; when I travel?
I have to go to a meeting overnight. I don't want to buy the little bottles of stuff for everything. Can I quirt some shampoo into a sandwhich bag, some conditioner for my hair, etc. and just carry in my purse? I know it has to be under 4 oz. but i have so many supplies it would be cheaper if I could just squirt what I need for one use (since it is just an overnight stay) rather than going out and buying everything, even ';little containers';. Thanks. Can i put shampoo, lotion and hair conditioner in ';sandwhich bags'; when I travel?
Absolutely not. they must be in little bottles that hold no more than 3 oz. each and those need to be in one 1 quart size zip-lock bag. Just buy one little travel size PERT that is shampoo and conditioner in one...less than $1.50...no big deal. You say you have ';so many supplies';....just simplify for your one day trip. Can i put shampoo, lotion and hair conditioner in ';sandwhich bags'; when I travel?
Not really, but it's possible. If you want to risk making a mess in your suitcase (if you're flying) then go ahead, but you can't bring liquids on board any passenger aircraft (in your carry on luggage) in the United States. Even in a plastic baggie. However, if you bring your regular shampoo from home, this will stow much easier in your suitcase and it will stay closed and won't get too messy. Don't forget that the luggage compartment in an airplane is cold and unpressurized so if you squirt your shampoo into a bag there's a risk of the bag exploding in your suitcase. Hope this helps =]
I dont see why not, i would just make sure the bags are the zip-lock kind to prevent leaking!
no i recently went and i think that they will think something bad of it!myspace commentes

If you are traveling into a higher altitude, how do you pack your shampoo?
im going to Colorado, and i dont know what to do about packing my shampoos and them things.. HELP?If you are traveling into a higher altitude, how do you pack your shampoo?
Ziplock bags for shampoo/etc. when travelling. I learned that one the hard way. I had shampoo and conditioner in the suitcase with my clothes. When I got to where I was going and opened my suitcase... shampoo and conditioner covered EVERYTHING. All of my clothes had to be washed. If you are traveling into a higher altitude, how do you pack your shampoo?
Any liquids, soaps, creams ect should be packed in your suitcase NOT your carry on
if its in your carry on you will be asked to remove it adn they will eathir take it from you or give you a bag to put them in depending on how large and quantity of the item is.
You'd pack it like you normally would...In a leak proof bottle, ideally 3 oz or less if you are flying and want to carry it on, filled 3/4 full to leave room for expansion and contraction during flight, duct tape the lid shut, and put 'em in a sealed zip loc bag, just in case!
That's my standard packing procedure...
I travel to Colorado often and pack my shampoo and I normally would if I was going somewhere else. Just put it in a ziplock baggy so in case it leaks it won't be all over your clothes. Higher altitude won't affect your shampoo.

Why do airports only allow you to travel with small amounts of lotion, shampoo, toothpaste etc.?
This past summer, I went to Texas for 6 weeks with my brother and when we were going to go home to Toronto, we had a little trouble at the airport.
When we were at the security check place, my brother passed through easily, and he barely had much of a carry on with him (just a plastic bag). When it was my turn I went through fine, but when my luggage went through the scan, I ran into trouble. I had bought my mom an expensive type of lotion and I had a larger than allowable size of lotion bottle in my purse. So the security showed me the scan and said that I can't take that on board with my carry on. So I said, Im not trashing any of my lotion because I spent a lot on it. The security guard told me I could go back to the place where they take your baggage. So I went back quickly, payed 25$ for my very small carry on suitcase to go with all the other baggage onto plane. Then I went back to security, passed through and left with brother to go to our gate.
What I don't get is, why did lotion affect where my small suitcase should go. I had the choice of trashing it or paying 25$ and having it go with the other stuff. What's the difference of where there is lotion on the plane? I honestly don't get it. Im 14 and how could I be a threat or something with my lotion??! Anyone know why?Why do airports only allow you to travel with small amounts of lotion, shampoo, toothpaste etc.?
The airlines do not make the rules. The fed. govt does. You may carry all liquids you like ( except explosives) in large bottles in your checked luggage. In your Carry-on luggage you may only carry liquids in 3 oz. size bottles and these bottles must fit in one 1 qt. size zip lock bag. This has been in force for several years now...it is no secret. Just how many bottles of liquid do you actually NEED while on the airplane? Very few! You do not need large bottles of lotion, you do not need shampoo or creme rinse...most people carry all kinds of stuff in their carry on that they have no use for during the flight. The rules have to be the same for everyone, no matter what their age. Because a few people might try to bring dangerous substances on a plane, everyone must adhere to the rules. Why do airports only allow you to travel with small amounts of lotion, shampoo, toothpaste etc.?
Someone in Britain put chemicals in bottles that when mixed together created an explosive. I believe that occurred within the last few years.
Because a few years ago they caught someone with some kind of liquid bombing device in a lotion bottle or something. I can't remember what it was in so they determined for security sake that we cannot carry on any liquids, gels, toothpaste, etc that were over 3 oz. They also have to be in a 1 quart ziploc bag and need to be taken out of your luggage and put in the plastic bins when going through security. And only one ziploc bag per passenger. Before you fly the next time you may want to pull up security requirements so you won't get stuck again. You can not carry on lighters, scissors, nail files, either.

Do you think all people should have there lap tops or even shampoo confiscated when your going to travel byair
Knowing the facts about the new banning of liquid products on air ports because of recent fail terror plan of liquid explosives, what do you think is the biggest flaw about this new rule?Do you think all people should have there lap tops or even shampoo confiscated when your going to travel byair
A lap top should not be confiscated when properly inspected and tested before the flight but liquid products like shampoo and perfumes must be confiscted because these can be used as explosives and can even self-explode while in flight if reacting with other materials even without detonators.Do you think all people should have there lap tops or even shampoo confiscated when your going to travel byair
Inviting terrorists to think outside the box. What next?
i think the biggest flaw is believing that it will actually deter any terrorists. what it will do is instill fear into millions of travelers, increase the cost of maintaining airport security (which will be passed on to the air lines, which the airlines will pass onto us, the travelers) and it will lead to more knee jerk reactions every time a plot os uncovered that might have happened using the most arcane of delivery systems. if this keeps up it won't be long before all carry on luggage will be forbidden. all food or drink of any kind--even from the air line itself--will be banned and people will be strapped into their seats by air marshalls toting m-16s; not to move until the flight is landed and docked.
by the way, alll this will only happen in the u.s. as we seem to be the only ones to over react so rediculously. remember the london train bombings? yeah they were back to normal ridership in a month.
if it will save my life ....yes
Why is everyone complaining about tolitrees being confinscated? I think its rather selfish..We almost had 10 plains dropped into the Atlantic Ocean and everyone wants to ********* about things they can buy when they get to their destination..Yes its an inconvinence but isint it better to be safe..and to the British God Bless you for saving the lives of hundreds of innocent people.
There is not a flaw in this rule you either abide by it or you don't get on the plane. If it makes our country safer then so be it !
It's knee-jerk rulemaking. Mickey Mouse stuff.
It would make sense if they placed the ban because they knew of liquid explosives. Doing so AFTER the fact is so, so silly.
Nobody gets my laptop!
I am a Liberal and I think that air travel is a luxury when put in context with terrorists using our planes as bombs. People need to minimalize when traveling...Send things before you go. I'm exaggerating, but...Travel in your underwear with a toothbrush behind your ear. I think they should limit carry on to the the size of a shaving kit...they could even issue everyone little jump suits before they enter the gates. ship your things UPS and travel light...there should be a extra charge for any carry on or suit cases to cover the cost of scanning them. This is the real deal boys and girls wake up...We have only begun to deal with terrorism...And I'm not talking about Iraq...worry about the trains and public places...if we don't control our borders we are in for it...we don't have to lose any of our rights at home, just relinquish them when we travel.
oh no that is just crazy thinking I find it hard to be leave that someone could take over a plane with just a box cutter.
The biggest flaw is that it is time consuming to search every person's luggage for anything deemed to be a liquid or gel substance.
It's not like it will be much of a setback to pay a few cents to replace a tube of toothpaste, it just makes it more of a hassle to get through security and onto your flight quickly.
Yes, if it is a matter of national interest and security that will save millions of innocent lives. What we can contribute to this effort is to cooperate with the proper authorities to attain a peaceful and safe travel.
it sucks but its 4 saving ppls lifes....dont trip over dumpin ur products.....just next time pack it in the suitcase!

What stores carry the best assortment of travel products - ie mini shampoos, conditioners, etc?
I'm traveling out of the country soon and need to stock up on some mini supplies - where's the best place to go for a one-stop shop? What stores carry the best assortment of travel products - ie mini shampoos, conditioners, etc?
Have you tried to look at some dollar stores. That is the best place to get them. Or you can try out Walmart or any department stores would have them in stock. But my best bet would be the dollar store. What stores carry the best assortment of travel products - ie mini shampoos, conditioners, etc?
Sephora and drugstores usually carry mini fillable bottle kits that can be filled up with multiple products. It is cheaper to use these type of bottles than wasting money on mini products.
Target has tons of those!
Walmart has some and I think Target has some to.
I can never find my favorite products in 3 oz sizes. I just buy empty bottles and keep refilling them with what I like.

Drug stores usually have a whole aisle with mini-toiletries. Try CVS, Walgreens, or Eckerd!

When backpacking through Europe, is it better to bring regular sized shampoo/conditioners or travel sized?
I'm leaving on a 3 month long backpacking trip for Europe in a couple weeks, and am torn between my normal shampoo and travel sized ones. I have long hair, so the travel sizes usually only last me 3-4 washes, 5 if I push it. Therefore, I know it's more cost effective to bring a full size shampoo, but it's heavier and takes up more space.
Anyone with experience in this area have any suggestions?
Also, if I bring the big one, I plan on sticking it in a ziplock bag to help in case of a spill...any other suggestions as to how to prevent a spill in the first place?
Thanks! When backpacking through Europe, is it better to bring regular sized shampoo/conditioners or travel sized?
Take small ones with you and replace at local stores as needed. It will save you space and carrying weight for other necessities.
These are easily obtained in local stores at reasonable prices, but you may not find your particular brand. Some items are sold in Europe under different names, if at all. When backpacking through Europe, is it better to bring regular sized shampoo/conditioners or travel sized?
If you really like the brand you use and are unwilling to compromise, get travel bottles. Some go up to 6 oz and that should last you enough for 3 months. However, shampoo and things of that nature are really easy to find in Europe, so since you're staying for that long, I would just buy my stuff there. To prevent spills, especially due to the pressure on the plane, just get plastic wrap, cut a little square, fix it securely over the opening, and screw on the cap.
Don't bother bringing anything like that with you, especially when you're on a long backpacking trip. The weight is VERY significant. You don't carry shampoo over there; you'll hit the local grocery stores for stuff like that. DO take a box or 2 boxes of ziplocks though. They're great! Get one box of the smaller ones and one box of the bigger ones. Then take them all out of the boxes, rubberband each bundle together very tightly then pack them in your backpack. Consider packing the smaller bags inside one of the larger ones. Rubberbands are handy too. don't buy them, just collect them. When you find one, throw it in the pack.

I understand how this is troubling you because I am experiencing the same problem especially cause you have to take soap, bodywash, face wash etc.
I leave next week and will be traveling europe for 4 weeks I found this really great product at Bass Pro Shops, it can also be found at any sporting good store or even walmart(anyplace that sells camping gear) Its a all in one soap you can use it for your hands, face, hair, washing clothes, and dishes. only a few drops gives you quick effective suds an 8oz bottle only cost me $3.99, so by eliminating these other products I am able to bring my full size bottle of hair conditioner.

please tell me!!
ThanksTravel baby shampoo, powder etc?
walmart or k mart
they have sets in the baby section of travel sized baby shampoos ect....and if you go by the regular bodysoap isle the have travel accesories thats where i got my daughters baby lotion and powder, vaseline, and wipes in travel sizes :)Travel baby shampoo, powder etc?
Sometimes Wal-Mart or Target will have travel sizes. Or maybe you could find a kit in the baby section. If not, you can always buy the empty travel size bottles and pour your own stuff in them. In most stores you should be able to find trial size lotion and powder, at least.
Target sells a starter kit of travel sized Johnson %26amp; Johnson products. It contains head to toe body wash, shampoo, powder, a packet of Desitin and a small bottle of baby lotion. I got one as a shower gift and it was great. I took it to the hospital with me when I had my son. It is in the baby care aisle with the baby shampoos. Here is the link.

Travel Size Shampoo Bottles?
To make a long story short, my sister lost two pink travel bottles that belonged to my friend and I need to find where I can buy them or something similar!
They were hot pink and had a figure-eight shape. Any help would be appreciated!Travel Size Shampoo Bottles?
You could probably get them at a local drugstore or grocery store such as cvs, publix or walgreens. Hope that helps :)

Empty shampoo bottles/containers for travel?
Can anyone tell me where i can find some mini shampoo bottles and tubs for creams etc? The empty ones that i can fill with my favourite shampoo/showergel. Empty shampoo bottles/containers for travel?
BootsEmpty shampoo bottles/containers for travel?
Booths will have what you need, but do make sure that you stay within the regulations, my girlfriend and I had a few hundred pounds of toiletries and perfumes taken from us. Remember once you have brought them in and they are taken, you will never get them back..
go to a sporting goods store in the back packing dept, they have all sorts of small containers. but beware of liquids in your carry ons going on airplanes. I also saw a nice assortment at Linens and Things, but I think they are going under, so ya better hurry.
Will the hotel your going to not have any?
I know they might charge you 拢1 but it save your hassle!

Need info about airline travel.I am flying across the country. Can I take shampoo ect if I check it?
I have not flown in several years. Any help would be appreciatedNeed info about airline travel.I am flying across the country. Can I take shampoo ect if I check it?
You can basically take all your cosmetictry with you providing it goes as checked luggage. The restrictions basically apply to carry on items. Here is a good website for information on what is allowed as carry on: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1012.shtmNeed info about airline travel.I am flying across the country. Can I take shampoo ect if I check it?
you can take liquids if you put them in your checked baggage. don't try to bring lotion, hand sanitizer, wet lip gloss...anything liquid with you in your carry one stuff. i fly a ton so i kinda just bring my laptop, ipod, purse, id, and a magazine. have a good flight
call the airport
NO!! because tterraces can be on the plain and they can put poison in your shampoo or conditioner and your makeup and ect....It also can probably kill you.
So you can take any liquids or gels on board as long as the size equals 3 ounces or less. Any small bottles like this needs to be put into a clear quart size plastic bag, and must be put through the security scanner separately. You must remove it from your bag and place it on the belt in a security bin. Each passenger can only have one.
Well I'm only ten and have traveled alot! Fo course it's ok, you can't take it on your carry on bag though because some stupid think that you might explode the plane. Yeah, I have but not on my carry on, in my luggage with my other things. And whats etc? Like lotion, it depends on ingredents and what bag you want to put it in (carry on or luggage.) I usally put all that junk in a differnt bag sepratley with lotion, shampoo, conditionor etc. Hope you have fun on your flight, I do mine! :)

Whats the deal with travel bottles of shampoo etc. , can you carry them on?
Can you carry them on, or do you still have to check them in?Whats the deal with travel bottles of shampoo etc. , can you carry them on?
If you're traveling in for from the US you can carry on 3 oz (90ml) or less. All liquids etc must be placed in a one quart clear plastic bag that will comfortably close. If you're traveling in Europe and the UK the limit is 100ml (3.4 oz)... same clear plastic bag stuff. Check with the TSA website: http://www.tsa.gov/ They have a link to the new European Union rules. I think the TSA is going to ';harmonize'; with them, but until I see it in writing, I'd stick with the smaller amounts.

You can't carry bottles or spray cans if they're over 100 ml size. Even if they're almost empty. AND you have to pack them in a 20 x 20 cm plastic bag. Stupid rule. Tomorrow morning I'm flying and am going to check the whole thing in.
Simple...make a quick call to the airlines in your city and ask them....they will tell you exactly what you can carry....good luck
No, I came from London a month ago and they confiscated even my liquid eyeliner and mascara!!! :)
Your best bet will be to visit the website of the airline you are travelling with. There are clear cut instructions on what is allowed. They do allow you though to purchase these items as soon as you have gone through customs.....even for a connecting flight.....silly, I know!!
If you have any medication make sure that you have a prescription for it otherwise it will also go to the bin.
you can not carry them on plane anymore. But they are meant to take up less space in your suitcase. Hotels have some and they are easy to steal because they are so small lol
You can carry them on. However, gold handled scimitars are still banned on most domestic flights.
toiletries can be carried on if they are ';travel sized'; and if they all fit into a quart sized ziplock bag.
not over 3oz containers if carry on. if larger must go thru check in inside luggage. that is for shampoo, toothpaste, deoderant etc (if carry on plane)

How can i keep my shampoo from exploding? and how do cats travel?
I'm moving to arizona next month, and since i'm currently in L.A the flight is only like 90 to 120 minutes. I want to buy all my toiletries pre flying and pack them in my suitcase, but from past experience the high altitude causes things to leak and stuff? would just leaving it open a little reduce the pressure?
i'm also going to take my cat along board. but i love him and i don't trust the airlines with him. has anybody had any good or bad experiances with this? How can i keep my shampoo from exploding? and how do cats travel?
I keep my shampoo and other liquids wrapped in a plastic bag and sometimes double bag them. I have traveled many times from Germany to the US and back over the past 2 1/2 years and have never had a problem!
As for your cat: If you can book him in the cabin w/ you that would be best. He would need to be in a carrier that you can store under the seat in front of you and he must stay in the carrier the whole flight. I shipped my 3 cats to Germany from Florida in July 2005. They had to go on a Lufthansa flight because they have climate controlled cargo areas. (it's too hot at that time of year otherwise) They did just fine. If you want to take him in the cabin w/ you, call well in advance to make a reservation for him. I believe that most airlines only allow 2 pets in the cabin per flight. You will have to pay for him either way.
Good luck on your move!!!How can i keep my shampoo from exploding? and how do cats travel?
don't leave your shampoo open or it WILL be over everything when you land. Instead, squeeze some of the air out and then close it tight; that way, when the air expands at altitude, it won't loosen the cap. (hopefully!)
are you going to take the pet in the cabin? or check him as baggage? as an airline worker, I have shipped umpteen cats, dogs, the occasional rhinoceros, lions, tigers, meerkats etc etc etc. None ever came to harm from mishandling. And I also shipped my own beloved mutt, from DFW to SFO and back (a bit longer than CA to AZ) and she was just fine!
One thing you might want to consider is that people who work for airlines love their pets too, and wouldn't want harm to come to anyone else's.

Where can I find small empty bottles to put my own shampoo and such into for air travel?
I'll be flying next month to stay with some friends for a few days, and the TSA guidelines are really annoying. I don't want to buy travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toothpaste, because I probably won't find my brands. Does anyone know if CVS or Wallgreens or someplace similar carries small (at most 3 ounces) empty cosmetic bottles that I could fill with my own products?Where can I find small empty bottles to put my own shampoo and such into for air travel?
If you want inexpensive bottles, CVS or other pharmacies always have them. And I'm guessing you won't want to spend the $ but if you think you'll travel more, you might want to check out http://www.pitotubes.com/products.asp?ca鈥?/a> Unlike those little screw-top bottles, which WILL leak all over the place no matter how much air space you leave or how tight you fasten them (be sure and put them in plastic bags so your clothes aren't wrecked), the pitot tubes use some little pressure idea to keep leaks from happening. I travel a lot and just bought some and they were far less messy and more convenient that the the 50 cent plastic screw tops. But they're pricey if you're only going on one airline trip.Where can I find small empty bottles to put my own shampoo and such into for air travel?
wal-mart or target in the travel aisle. they are about 50 cents a piece.
In order to get around the 3 ounces carry on rule. Don't put them in your carry on. You can pack a whole bottle of shampoo in your check in luggage. The 3 ounce rule only applies to carry on. I don't think you plan on washing your hair during the flight.
First, I'd either call or read the limitations of the airport/airline you're using to be sure that you can bring liquids (especially bottles that aren't packaged like unopened bottles of water) after that, you can purchase bottles at stores like wal mart or kmart. they should only be like 25 cents apiece. i've seen them in pretty much any size imaginable from like 2 ounces to 30 ounces. Good luck and have fun!
Just about anywhere...Walmart and/or Target. They are pretty cheap....like 50 cents each. But...don't forget tax!!myspace commentes

Does your body wash and shampoo have to be travel-size in basic training or can you bring normal size bottles?
Also can you bring those little scrunchi poofy loofa things with you that you scrub your body with?.. or do they issue you the stuff that you are going to use?Does your body wash and shampoo have to be travel-size in basic training or can you bring normal size bottles?
No poofy loofa things in basic, also I'm pretty sure your 'body wash' is allowed to be a bar of soap.
As for shampoo, yes it must be travel-sized.
They will provide stuff for you if you need it but its coming out of your pay check. The big difference? Stuff on base is discounted as well as tax-free to military members. If in doubt ask your reqruting officerDoes your body wash and shampoo have to be travel-size in basic training or can you bring normal size bottles?
My son took the travel size because of packing space but once he got to basic they went to the PX and he got the larger size and about the loofa it was not on his packing list but I don`t think you will even have the time to use one, you will jump in the shower and get out of it quick. My son used to take long showers but when he came home for Christmas he was in and out of the shower so quick and he said that was because they had to be fast in basic and that he got used to it.
In Army BCT you won't be allowed to use a loofa...you'll be getting a wash cloth to use. We weren't allowed body wash either, just unscented bars of soap. Also no super good smelling shampoo. I recommend you DON'T buy it before you get there, wait till you go to the PX when you start Basic (meaning, don't buy it at reception either) because that just aids weight to the bag you'll be carrying over your head on day one. Just leech off of people till you can buy some.
-PAC
i'm pretty sure you can buy then there at the PX. and no you can't bring those, you won't be able to use it. remember that this is basic training and there are about 50 or 60 other people in line for a shower so your showers will be quick; at most 3 minutes, it's just a quick rinse and wash.
you have to bring travel size with you anyway, because of the airline regulations. if you are allowed regular size bottles, you will be given the chance to purchase it once you get there. and about the loofa...no, sorry.
Army BCT right? Well I think the bottles are fine I used mine the whole time...but the loofa, they didn't let us use those, but it all depends.

In addition to the previous comments; you can also try Walgreens and CVS which is where i buy my travel size shampoo, lotion, etc. Also will depend on your resident location.

Travel sized shampoo bottle stuck in toilet?
Hey all, my little sister flushed an empty travel sized bottle of shampoo down the toilet. What can I do to get it out without calling anyone? The water still does down when you flush, just slowly. Remember, it's just travel size, like maybe 1 ounce or so. I had no idea where to ask this, so I just picked health. Any help is greatly appreciated.Travel sized shampoo bottle stuck in toilet?
Sorry man my kid did this and I had to pull the toilet off and remove it from the bottom. Dont try this unless you have a new wax ring otherwise that toilet wont seal and you will have a mess!Travel sized shampoo bottle stuck in toilet?
ahhhh--little kids %26amp; toilets lol. if you or your sis can't reach in far enough to get it out, you are going to need hellp removing the toilet as already mentioned above.
We had to pull ours up for a jammed toothbrush.
well go to your garage and get some tools so you can get it out without getting in trouble just tell your mom your sick she'll understand
had my granddaughter flush a deodorant once
ended up having to take the toilet off the floor and reach up from the bottom and pushed it out with a stick
a new wax ring is only around $5, a lot cheaper than a plumber
If it's gone down in to the 'U' then you must call a plumber.
Yes. Something can be done. I'm assuming you tried plunging it out for a respectable period of time. The next option is to go to a hardware store and purchase a snake or auger (there are two kinds: a long skinny one with a smaller cork screw head for drains and a shorter, larger cork screw head for toilets). It should come with instructions but the gist of it is that you cram the sucker as far into the pipe as you can get. Once there, you will have to rotate it clock wise using it's handle. After a few turns, try retracting it as you go to help move things out. Repeat as needed.
maybe this sounds dumb but it might work before you have to dismantle the toilet. Using one of the newer high suction type vacuum cleaners (eg. Dyson, Hoover) wrap scrap rags around the end of the pipe so that it will create a tight fit in the hole.(Drain the water from the bowl first of course). Turn on the vacuum. The suction may dislodge the small container sufficiently for it to be easily removed by hand. If you try this, please let us know how you made out.
just reach down and grab it...if you sister has small hand, have her do it....it won't kill you and will save you some bucks
It depends on how handy you are. One of my kids flushed a matchbox car down {so it's close the same size}. We turned the water off. Took the toilet off it's base by loosening two bolts turned it upside down reached in and got it out. Then we replaced the toilet to the base. Be careful not to damage the wax ring it's the seal that keeps it from leaking. If you do however just replace it. It only cost a few dollars at Home Depot. This is easier and cheaper than a plumber. lots of luck.
Either try to retrieve it through the bowl, remove the stool, the bottle and replace the stool or call a professional. Those are the only choices. Seen this stuff all my life.

How many prell shampoos does it take to lighten dark brown dyed hair?
I have dyed my blonde hair black once, and I tried to wash out the color with many different shampoos. I thought that Fructis had the most effect because it contains a lot of lemon acid. After about 10 washes my hair became sort of light brown, then I made it blonde at hairdressers. How many prell shampoos does it take to lighten dark brown dyed hair?
Yeah, you'd better get ready to just immerse your head in a bucket of water, and just hang out for a while. How many prell shampoos does it take to lighten dark brown dyed hair?
it will lighten a bit every day, don't overwash your hair, unless you want it to fall out.

Does anyone know where I can find both Prell Shampoo AND conditioner at a decent price?
This use to be my favorite shampoo and then it just sort of disappeared. It smells better than anything out there. I keep seeing people advertising conditioner and shampoo for $19 a bottle! There has to be a better deal somewhere. Also, the conditioner is almost impossible to find. Does anyone know where to get this stuff at an affordable price?Does anyone know where I can find both Prell Shampoo AND conditioner at a decent price?
you can find it at Walgreen's.com
rite aid stores
cvs stores

Does prell shampoo work for hair thats been dyed for a long time?
When people say they used ';prell'; shampoo to strip/ remove some of their dark hair color after its been dyed..does that only work when its just been dyed or does it work if you have had your hair dyed for a long time? Because i dyed my hair black about 6 months ago and i havent dyed it any color ever since. i bought the shampoo thinking it was gonna help it get some of the color out. But im thinkin is there anything i can do to help get at least some of the black hair dye out or do i just have to to go the salon since its been a long time since ive dyed it. i went to the salon like 3 months ago to go get the black taken out and re dyed like a light brown. but when she wet my hair she told me it wasnt a good idea since my hair was too damaged and it would probably fry it..so i had no choice but to cut my long hair shoulder length. i dont know what to do anymore i hate having black hair im just gonna shave it off...jk.
THANKS :]Does prell shampoo work for hair thats been dyed for a long time?
Prell Shampoo has nothing in it that will open the cuticle of your hair and lift pigment out. You need a strong chemical to do that.
You could try using a color remover and re-dying -- that is if you think enough time has passed and you will follow the directions to the letter. To re-dye it, you should use the more gentle demi-permanent dyes for several more months to avoid damaging it even more after you strip the color.
http://www.sallybeauty.com/Colorfix/SBS-鈥?/a>
If you don't think you can risk stripping the color yourself, you should go back to the salon. If stripping the color isn't an option even at the salon, you might want to look at some demi-permanent dyes at Sally Beauty to refresh your color or tone it so it looks more even while you wait for it to grow out. I would never use anything but a demi-permanent color now. My hair is coarse/wavy texture; bleaching it, and even permanent dyes, can cause breakage. So I use demi-permanent color only in my own shade or darker. I buy the colors at Sally Beauty, and the 10vol. developer. I mix 2 parts 10vol developer to 1 part distilled water to make it about 7 vol.
';'Demi Permanent' hair color
Companies like Compagnia Del Colore from Italy have found a way to use a permanent hair color for deposit only. This is done by mixing permanent hair color with low volume (usually a 7 volume developer) that blows off the ammonia from the permanent tube and deposits only into the hair shaft. A demi is a gentle permanent color used whenever you want to deposit color without lifting the natural pigment but with the deep penetration results of permanent hair color. Since they are gentle, they are perfect for tint-backs and colorpriming. They are also great for toning pre-lightened hair.';

my mom has been using prell for a very long time!
i think thats her fave shampoo!
and she dyes her hair once a month.....
i know lots of other people who use it and they say its great for dyed hair!
so i would suggest using it....
its not too pricey! plus its pretty much the same as using those expensive shampoos for color treated hair!
There should be a toll free number on the Prell packaging.
Use it and ask the specialist at that end this exact question.
just change ur hair color to another color!

Will Prell shampoo make my hair better or worse?
Ok so my hair is naturally dark brown. A while back I dyed it red, a really dark red, and after that I dyed it black. Just recently I try to get back to my original colour and dyed it dark brown but it didn't do anything except make the red brighter. I want the red gone or atleast faded. The black and brown don't bother me since it's natural looking.
So before I give in and go to a pro hair stripper my question is, will Prell make this better or will it make my hair even lighter and redder which I don't want at all?
Also if you've used it personally are there any bad effects, like hair loss or extremely dry hair? Will Prell shampoo make my hair better or worse?
anyway hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor
nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.
year ago I suffered from hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to
melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a
few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or
sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also I used herbal treatment - TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here
http://www.trichozed.com/?id=fc7a24
It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!
good luck!

Will prell shampoo or dawn dish detergent help lighten my hair and not bring the red back?
Yesterday, a salon used semi-perm hair color to dye my highlighted light brown hair brown and it came out red. Today, she tried to fix it and it is really dark brown/black. I want to try prell or dawn but I am scared that it will bring back the red and I prefer the goth look to the red. Help! Will prell shampoo or dawn dish detergent help lighten my hair and not bring the red back?
If it is semi permanent it will fade. My suggestion is this ..fill your tub with as hot water as you can stand and soak your hair in it .Wash it as many times as you can while soaking it.A lot of the color will come out, but you also run the risk of some of the red appearing ,but I doubt it will go to red red. Good Luck.Oh and btw shimmer lights is not a lightening shampoo it is a toning shampoo for brassy hair. Will prell shampoo or dawn dish detergent help lighten my hair and not bring the red back?
if you take out the dark colour maybe by bleaching it will take out the colour but bring back the red this will also dry the hair out (use conditioning treatments) and then you can cover the red with any colour as long as it s a darker base than the red and use a colour with high ash tones in to eliminate the red tones e.g ash=.1 so 4.1 5.1 6.1 or 7.1 x
I would say that you should go back to the salon and complain. I mean... you paid to get your hair done a certian way and it may sound b*tchy but.... it's your money and your hair. I would ask someone else at the salon with a little more experience to try and fix the color. Other than that it just may take a little while for the color to fade, give it a week or too and the color may go down by then.
best of luck.
I've never heard of that, who did you hear that from? I don't think that will work at all, I dont think it will do anything. I would suggest going to a different salon(maybe with a picture of the hair color you want).
go back and have someone fix it. i know it sounds bad, but you're the customer. GO BACK, you paid to have somethign done and that person needs to finish the job
try useing Shimmer Lights its a purple shampoo that lightens your hair its only like 6$ at sallys beauty supply or you can give it a month to see if it fades out..

Prell Shampoo Slogan?
There was a very famous advertising slogan that out lasted
the popularity of the soap . I can't remember what it was for Prell shampooPrell Shampoo Slogan?
';Go from flat to fluffy';.Prell Shampoo Slogan?
Hmm - I was going to say ';A little dab will do yah';. Then I saw the other guys answer about the flat to fluffy. . . . and now I don't know.

I've dyed my hair black multiple times. will prell shampoo still help get it out?
i've dyed my hair black about 3 times because that was back then when i wanted my hair black and it kept fading. so now i have a bunch of black coloring in my hair, and i finally decided that i want light brownish hair. but, i don't want to bleach it.
i heard prell shampoo can work but like i said, i dyed my hair black 3 times so will it still work? how long will i have to do it for the color to fade so i can dye it another color? thanks.I've dyed my hair black multiple times. will prell shampoo still help get it out?
I don't think shampooing it will work, but you can try. If you want your hair light brownish again, you can wait for it to grow out, or bleach it.I've dyed my hair black multiple times. will prell shampoo still help get it out?
Sorry to say that it would not. My mom used a dark blonde on her hair by mistake (instead of her light blond shade) and Prell did not do much for lightening her hair. Black hair color is not easy to get rid of. You need to have it bleached-
haha oh god i was just in this situation like last week. i just bit the bullet and stripped the colour out and had a professional colour correct. it's just about the only thing you can do. nothing will get it out but that.
I believe that black dye is almost impossible to get out.

Who still uses Prell shampoo?!?
Seriously, I can't believe they still make the stuff. I remember hearing that if you leave a strand of your hair in a cup of Prell overnight, it will DISSOLVE. It's such a dinosaur, like hair tonic or Vitalis. Who is their target consumer?Who still uses Prell shampoo?!?

I remember as a kid when my mother used to use green Prell that was in the tube. It was quite harsh back then. I don't use it at all, but I remember the smell like it was yesterday.myspace commentes

Lots of other places online if you prefer; just go to search engine and type in ';prell shampoo';
I buy my prell shampoo at Wal-Mart But I can not get the prell conditioner any more does any one know what happened to it
Add lemon juice to your shampoo everyday. This will naturally lighten your hair.
Try Palmolive dish washing soap, I have used that instead of Prell because it's much easier to find and when your done with your hair, you have a second use for the soap.
Also try ebay - I found some and pasted the link below.
I'm not sure if you have Dollar General stores in the UK But if you do you should try there.

What is Prell shampoo?
What is this shampoo ?
i know that apparently it will lighten up your hair ,
but will it damage it ?
and how does it work ?What is Prell shampoo?
Prell shampoo is a very cheap extremely damaging shampoo that nobody should ever use on their hair (as with suave) the PH level is so strong that you can actually use to roll hair into curlers and if you leave it on 2 days or so (ive done this on a manniquin head when i was in beauty school its true) it will perm hair...It probably will lighten you're hair but it is so damaging I dont recommend it.What is Prell shampoo?
Yea right WHATEVER!! Prell shampoo DOES NOT damage your hair. I use it all the time and my hair is so NOT damaged. In fact my hair is always very soft and manageable after using Prell shampoo. Report Abuse
I don't know about lightening it.
It was a green gel shampoo that had a fake pearl in the bottle or tube. Popular during the 60s and 70s. As far as I know it was just shampoo...probably stronger than the ones now that are designed for various hair conditions.
I wasn't aware that they still even made it.
it is a brand name of shampoo, green in color.
never heard it would lighten hair but when i used it i had blonde hair.
always thought my hair looked pretty good with it.
it works like any shampoo. wash and rinse.
i've been buying suave, maybe i'll try prell again.
it was popular in the 70's %26amp; 80's. and you could find it at any drug store. i'm not sure if they still sell it. the selling point to it was that it had conditioner in it. so you didn't need to purchase conditioner separately.

After 3-4 days of hair dye will Prell Shampoo fade it?
I dyed my hair on Tuesday afternoon and it turned my medium brown hair into a darker brown/black cherry color with a red tint. I have heard that Prell Shampoo will fade some of the hair dye but is it too late? I want to try fading it without completely stripping my hair of its natural colors via bleaching products. Is there any hope or another product out there that will work?
If it does, what should I do to my hair (how many minutes should I leave it in for, etc.?)?After 3-4 days of hair dye will Prell Shampoo fade it?
Any clarfiying shampoo will fade the color gradually more quickly than a shampoo for color treated hair. It won't strip a lot of the color out but it will fade nicely over the next few weeks. After 3-4 days of hair dye will Prell Shampoo fade it?
good grief dont use prell!! it is prolly one of the worst product you could use!! prell is very drying to the hair and strips it also. go to your salon and get a clarifying shampoo.

I LOVE Prell shampoo! I buy it at Walgreens, usually. Are you trying to fade your dyed hair? You might also consider Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo, or good old fashioned dish washing detergent (Joy works well, I like the lemon Joy) followed by a good conditioner : )Where can i buy Prell shampoo?
I would have to say any kind of Beauty Shop.

Soap cap color correction what is that and why prell shampoo?

Does prell shampoo work to tone down hair color?
No amount of shampoo will do this. You need to chemically change the hair color to tone down. Send and photo of you what you did to your hair and what you will want done. I can help you do this at home. Never use Prell. That stuff is major crap!
Tip your hair dresser 19 yrs. exp.Does prell shampoo work to tone down hair color?
Generic brand conditioning shampoo with purple toner works wonders, after only three washes my hair didn't have any yellow color left in it. It's at sally's and it's easy to find, it's simply a black and white bottle that says Generic at the top and says it's comparable to ';clairol shimmer lights original conditioning shampoo.';
P.S. it really does work. Not even lying.Does prell shampoo work to tone down hair color?
It doesn't. Try pantene clarifying shampoo or if you really want to tone down your color instantly you can try using natural instincts semi-permanent hair color. I've used it on my hair when it was blonde to tone it down to a more natural looking color without all that brassiness.
Never heard of it... :Smyspace commentes

Can you use Prell shampoo to get vaseline out of my 2yr old's hair?
My daughter got into the vaseline and layered herself and the carpet in her room. I bought Prell shampoo and dawn dishwashing liquid but haven't gotten the nerve to use it on her hair. How do I get it out of the carpet? Can you use Prell shampoo to get vaseline out of my 2yr old's hair?
Personally, I'd use the Dawn. It's very safe and doesn't hurt the eyes much if you get in them. Just be prepared to do a lot of rinsing, because there's lots of suds.
I don't know what to do about the carpet. I'd try calling around to carpet cleaning services to see what they think.
Good Luck!! :-)Can you use Prell shampoo to get vaseline out of my 2yr old's hair?
I am a licensed cosmetologist and I would recommend using Perell shampoo. I would not recommend using dish soap because it is to harsh on the hair. Another think you could try is if you know anyone personally with a cosmetology licenses you could see if they could pick you up a pack-it of a product called MALIBU. How it works is it comes in a smalll package which is powder and you mix it with water and you apply it to the hair and let it sit for a good 15 mins. What it does from there is it releases all off the build up such as vasaline from the hair and it will wash out leaving her hair feeling normal again.
For the carpet on the other had I would recommend calling around to carpet places to see what they say? If you carpet is fairly new I would not try treating it if you do not want to ruin it.
When I got grease in my own hair, the dawn did not work. It was actually a conditioner. If you have any that will make her hair super silky, the warm water will help it slide off.
Be careful using dish soap on the carpet, the suds will be hard to get out and may attract more dirt.
Save the spot till you can find a dry cleaning powder solution.
diswashing soap works, but the vaseline will eventually wear out and your daughter will have a nicely hydrated scalp.
sometimes the treatment is worse then the waiting time. just brush her hair with a nice fine comb everyday.
for the carpet, dishsoap should work, if not then your guess is as good as mine
It would be safe for her hair, just do not get it in her eyes. I would the dawn on the carpet, it should get it out. GOOD LUCK!!!
Uhm, I think shampoo is ok to use on hair...try it out. Let us know what happens.

How long should let the prell shampoo soak in my hair to get my black hait dye to fade?
I used Revlon ColorSilk.
How long should the prell soak to get it to fade to a dark brown? How long should let the prell shampoo soak in my hair to get my black hait dye to fade?
Yes, I've heard that Prell shampoo will fade hair color, but if that doesn't work try some Dawn dish detergent,it usually does fade the color out allot, but I don't know if anyting will fade black. You may have to go to a salon and a get a soap cap done to fade it a little.I really don't know if that will even work on black. Give the Dawn soap a try and remember to use conditioner after.DO NOT USE PERM SOLUTION!How long should let the prell shampoo soak in my hair to get my black hait dye to fade?
It's been about 12 hours since I dyed my hair so according to what I've read Prell shampoo would work. I just don't want the color to fade COMPLETELY. I dyed it to cover up some stubborn red, will the shampoo strip all of the color, or just make it look like it's been a few weeks since it was dyed? Report Abuse
I don't know about Prell shampoo but I've heard (and have used) Dawn dishwashing detergent to help fade newly applied hair color. It won't completely remove it but helps it to fade.
If you want to completely remove hair color I suggest you either go to a beautician or go to a beauty supply store (such as Sally's) and get color remover there.
Maybe you know something i dont about prell shampoo, but to my knowledge if its permanent color shampoo is not going to do the trick. You will need something strong enough to lift the cuticle and remove the color. I have used shampoo, v-lights, with 20 volume and let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse. it lifted one color level which in your case will be a dark brown.
Prell does work on most hair to disovle some colors.
However over the counter colors have metallic dyes in them and sometimes it is so hard to remove.
10-20 minutes when rinsing out the shampoo, you will see if much has been removed.
If you hair is in good condition, here is another idea and will remove very quickly.
Prell is damaging and you can use it to strip off floor wax.
But with a few good conditioning treatments will help.
Idea, over the counter buy a perm:
Now if hair is curly and you do not wish to loose some curl do not use this.
If hair is straight, will be no more harsh thanPrell shampoo.
Shampoo hair; apply perm solution to wet hair comb throughly and in about 5-7 minutes it will remove 75-90% of your color-will be noticeable right away.

What is the process for stripping color with Prell Shampoo?
Do i just wash my hair with Prell or do I put it on my hair dry like a mask let it sit and then wash it out? Will i actually see color washing out my hair? What is the process for stripping color with Prell Shampoo?
You can not strip color out of your hair with shampoo unless it is colored with dye and that is what you are trying to do. If you are trying to remove the dye then it may help fade it out, but that is all it will do.
If you mean that you are trying to strip your own hair color out of your hair by using shampoo that will not work, no shampoo can do that. The only way to strip color out of your hair is with hair bleach and that is pretty much the only way that it can be done.
Go to a good stylist and talk with them about what you are wanting to do with your hair.
